Superstition interpreted as “Evil”

One of the superpowers that the human mind has, is the ability to imagine, and dream up all sorts of things that aren’t real. Many of those stories arise from our fear, which originated from our fear of the unknown…. Add to this, ancient boogeymen who were made up for all sorts of reasons. Most of these boogeymen were accepted, because their concept explained alot of subconscious fears. These boogeymen often were dark stories rising from actual cases of human cruelty, fashioned into stories about witches and werewolves and blood sucking things…. (many were written into our ancient scriptures as an explanation of bad things, and are still treated as truth) We actually have parts of our brains that leans towards superstition, and parts of our brains that lean towards logical reasoning. Both work together in our life, to bring depth, excitement and meaning to our lives…… Hollywood more often than not, sells its movies by using our superstitious part to scare us. Its fun and exciting to be scared sometimes.

The fact is, other than the fact that the universe can be a downright dangerous place, that there is NO factual basis for some sort of actual evil entity in the universe (something dark and scary that preys on humans). Evil is what our superstitious part of our brain interprets from our fear and the sometimes horrible things that humans do to each other. The universe has entropy (breaking down and “aging”) built into it, but not evil.

On the other hand, our “spidey sense” tweaking that something is wrong, is until now, in the realm of some sort of instinct, and likely is part of that portion of our superstitious brain which is useful in keeping us safe …..

The issue is, that if we allow the superstitious portion of our brain, to have logical ideas built around it, it can cause us to make decisions which ARE dark and wrong.
