Where to go from our current government styles…. successfully.

I think it is obvious that there are fundamental issues with any organized system like democracy. One way they are showing up, is in our current struggle with the majority’s suppression of minorities. When a system is run by a majority, the attitude of the majority depends on the benevolence of the majority, and generally speaking, majorities don’t work like that….. Also, the old methods seemed to be “good enough” in past times, but is not adequate to deal with the our multicultural meltingpot worldview today.

I have watched in interest, listening to various attempts at “improvements” to the systems in North America, but have found that they all end up reverting back to outdated worldviews to try to “root” themselves …

Basic worldview IS where we need to begin, in considering a system for governing. The systems in place now evolved from the worldview of a deity, then Kings who were under God, and then later, governments to limit the monarchs unlimited power….. this is all growth from a religious foundation.

The problem is not that they are from a religious foundation, but that we have many mixed religious systems struggling inside a singular system that was built for one religious concept……….

In my limited understanding, we have two roads we can choose. The first one is to go back to a separated way of living, when each area can be governed by their own “traditional” way of government, and the other option is that we develop a way where all can live together under one roof, with a wide enough scope to protect all equally.

That is the difficult decision we need to make.
