It seems that the world has slowly been falling under the spell of radical subjective realism. These days, anyone who makes a statement can and will be challenged as to its accuracy based on “Its just a matter of perspective or personal opinion”.
Gone are the days of being positive about something…. of absolute truth. The whiplash is severe, whipping to NOTHING is true, and being positive about even the slightest thing is anathema. It seems in part to be a backlash against Christianity and religious rules.
Some use the term post-modernism, a philosophy which says that there is only our subjective perspective of reality, and no actual objective reality (no actual universe, no stars, no planets, no trees, no dirt, no water, no actual human experience…. just our perception )
Years after Nietzshe, many of these ideas are almost common and accepted.

What did Nietzsche say about reality?
Friedrich Nietzsche believed that truths were an illusion. He felt this way for a few reasons: 1) because the truth is relative, 2) because our perceptions are limited, and 3) because there is no such thing as an objective reality.

There are philosophical arguments for and against this type of thinking, but once “Facts” become “words about facts”, they can be played with endlessly, and it becomes a case of “overheated brain” thinking.
The only thing we can trust to stand for themselves, in this world, is the things themselves.
What does a human being without a “provable” reality look like?
In 2024, there are examples everywhere of the ditches this type of thinking falls into. All definitions being called into question.
In the end, it is truly the human mind becoming wild and arrogant about our own importance. The universe did just fine without the human mind for billions of years….
…..but now we ask questions like “if there is no ear to hear a tree fall deep in the forest, does it make a sound?” Utter arrogance. Physics does not need a human witness to be real.
Since human scientists have begun delving deeply into the human mind and its workings, and into the microscopic world, and the quantum world, human speculation has also delved into what this all means. It is true that the quantum world displays things that seem to break the rules we see in the physical world.
The issue i see here is that these various levels of reality DO exist, but humans do not directly access them in the sensory world. We can see some effects, and can “understand” what unseen things do to cause the physical world, but nature has built us to operate totally in the physical world.
Why is this confusion of levels of existence an issue?
As people start to speculate on what is real and what is simply a subjective response to that reality; whether or not there IS a reality outside of human subjectivity, the safe boundaries of human life become vague. When the safe boundaries of human life become vague, social systems break down.
Humans who have not been in contact with this purely subjective worldview do not understand how post-modern folks can question the very base of our method of “living in the real world”.
Virtually all humans have the ability to imagine. But in the post-modern world, that imagination has no boundaries. Add to this, the drug culture becoming almost ubiquitous, and the common sense which accompanies the sense world virtually vanishes. We are heading towards a catastrophe that makes biblical catastrophes seem like child’s play.
If we do not right the course of this vain imagining, the pendulum will swing until our human society falls apart. Once the true effects of this lack of common sense in the physical world become seen clearly, and it totally disrupts humanity, it will be too late to point at and blame the useful idiots we see today.
This is as true of a prophecy as there is……. mark it.
Is it because as Joan Osborne sang…..
“If God had a face what would it look like?
And would you want to see
If seeing meant that you would have to believe
In things like heaven and in Jesus and the Saints
And all the prophets?”
Lyrics
If God had a name what would it be?
And would you call it to his face?
If you were faced with Him in all His glory
What would you ask if you had just one question?
And yeah, yeah, God is great
Yeah, yeah, God is good
Yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah
What if God was one of us?
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Tryin’ to make his way home?
If God had a face what would it look like?
And would you want to see
If seeing meant that you would have to believe
In things like heaven and in Jesus and the Saints
And all the prophets?
And yeah, yeah, God is great
Yeah, yeah, God is good
Yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah
What if God was one of us?
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Tryin’ to make his way home?
Just tryin’ to make his way home
Back up to heaven all alone
Nobody callin’ on the phone
‘Cept for the Pope, maybe in Rome
And yeah, yeah, God is great
Yeah, yeah, God is good
Yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah
What if God was one of us?
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Tryin’ to make his way home?
Just tryin’ to make his way home
Like a holy rolling stone?
Back up to heaven all alone
Just tryin’ to make his way home
Nobody callin’ on the phone
‘Cept for the Pope maybe in Rome
Very good post!!!!!
