It is very repetitive saying this…. but the same problem comes up time after
time. People don’t seem to be interested in this ……..
but for myself, I found that understanding how the DMN ruminative brain
system ties me up into a downward spiral, and how learning to do a simple
breath counting practice can shift us to the TPN mental system, which acts
like a toggle switch, shutting off the ruminative spiralling.
Most say, That doesn’t work for me, but I have found that it is almost
always effective. The problem is the mental fixation that the ruminative
process creates, only gets stronger when we fight it.
Shifting to the TPN gives us a mental centre to look at life from.
I am not sure why people are so afraid to try this. It seems to fly in the face
of their belief system, but this is not some sort of anti-sacred practice. It in
fact, this is what our belief systems are talking about.
