Dogen -Buddhas carry forth the whole earth, and hide it in the earth

The Buddhas of all times and the Zen masters throughout history carry forth the whole earth and hide it in the earth; they smash open the world and take out the world.

When you grasp this essential key, you can practice what you preach. Your body is not a mass of flesh, your mind is a wall. Your eyebrows are low on the spring mountains, your eyes are blue in the autumn sea. Hundreds of thousands of meditations appear in every practice of matter; innumerable teachings emerge from myriad forms.
