What happened to rational thinking in the 21st century?

i want to start out making a simple statement…. probably too simple…and then i am going to move forward with critiquing that statement and see if my premise was right.

“With the post-modern concept that there is no such thing as objective reality, the controls of being able to state a fact that we can say is true, and the controls over the relationship of human thought and reality have been removed.”

Below is an ongoing thought process that speaks to this situation:

This removing of anything that can be called “proof” has brought into being, a 21st century book of Fairy Tales, believed by folks who very much resemble small children who desperately want to have their imagined ideas be real.

These fairytales are popping up in every corner of the post-modern group of individuals.

Believing that a persons birth sex does not equal their sexuality. (And building words to support their imagined idea. – i.e. gender)

Believing that aliens have been on our planet, and are possibly even here now.

In the past, superstition was utilized, to build storylines that supported that given story. A call to “faith” was brought into play to force people to believe, when in fact there were no facts to support the superstition. Anyone who did not stand in faith, was considered a doubter, and became an outcast. It was very important that the “party line” was held, in the face of doubters. Satans trickery was brought into play to show why people would doubt instead of having faith in the unseen “truth”, and
