The value of personal opinions & Deeper Truth

Is it possible that, with all the opinions we see, that the truth which is being spoken of in the bible and in other places, points us to a deeper truth? A deeper truth that the human mind does not fully understand? Or are we suggesting that we as humans understand all this so clearly that we can stand firm on it….. I give as an example, John Wesleys comments on the dinosaur question….. his stance was “God would not allow any of his created creatures to go extinct”, therefore, he rejected that there could have been dinosaurs… (and some even today go as far as to say that these “bones” are Satan trying to trick us….. )
