Faith – a different perspective

What is faith?

Faith is the tool that allows us to lay everything down.

“We cannot use faith to have some sort of control in the physical world, but when we have faith, we can learn to let go of the fear which makes us try to maintain some sort of control in the physical world…… and then what happens, is that we do not muck up our experiencing of the “whole picture”, but rather can live in harmony with reality.”

Without faith, we fear that if we lay everything down, something bad will happen.

We live in the illusion that we are in control…. this does not mean that we don’t have choice.
Choice and control are two different things.
Choice means “I go this way” or “I go that way”
The illusion is that somehow this controls some sort of outcome.
“If I do this, then that will happen”…..
If “That” DOES happen, then this is “what was meant to be”, not control.

So, Faith allows us to fall back to the center…… to let go of our fear, to let go of our need for some sort of control.

Faith allows us to let go of the control instruments, and let the plane fly itself….. because it has been flying itself all along, but we have been deluding ourselves that it was “I” who was flying the plane.

In this way, one might say that faith is that which lets us let go of fear.

Writing these words, I have the sense that they will be misunderstood……

Faith does not mean that i do not have to make choices…..

Faith is the tool (or law) of the essence which forms the physical world we are all built from.

We cannot use faith to control the physical world, but when we have faith, we can learn to let go of the fear which makes us try to develop some sort of control in the physical world…… and then what happens, is that we do not muck up our experiencing of the “whole picture”.
