What is the purpose of our lives?

Why do we humans exist as individual beings?

Our “meaning and purpose” is being alive and directly experiencing life and the awe of nature from the perspective of an individual being.

We do this by directly living in our sense world of seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting and touching. (has been called absorption in the one)

Why do we humans feel that we need more than this?

When we are dis-satisfied with the above all-inclusive answer, and start trying to add things to it, we start to cling to those things (attachment).

This creates our sense of suffering.

Fear, greed, anger, jealousy, neediness, are all born out of this.
Payback for being wronged, is added to this…. and voila…..
Our survival mode and fear is the base of this dissatisfaction.

There is an answer to anguish and suffering:

“Just let go now of clinging mind, and all things are just as they are.”

There is no such thing as “detachment”, there is only dropping those unnecessary needs and fears, and returning to being a part of the immediate sense world.

What we call “evil” is this process of attachment.

Freedom from inner darkness is returning to our “meaning and purpose”…. which is:

Being alive and directly experiencing life and the awe of nature from the perspective of an individual being.
